Well... Just got back from a great holiday in Spain, with the clubs... We played 4 different courses - Los Naranjos, La Quinta, Atalaya New & Dona Julia...

I played well on Los Naranjos, and finished with 34 points - Almost had my first ace after putting it to 3 inches at 170 yard par 3... Great course - Hily front 9, but flat on back 9. Great condition and really enjoyable... Robert Trent Jones springs to mind, but i'm not certain...

Atalaya New was an enjoyable course... I started crap... Par at 1st, but 4 putted the 2nd for a 9 (Par 5)... It was decent, but not a course i'd rush back to... Condition should have been better, with lots of bare patches, and lots of real thick patches in the middle of fairways. Greens were quite hairy in places... About 29 Points - Type of course you score on if you play well...

La Quinta is one i've played a lot and it's always immaculate. It's relatively difficult, while still enjoyable and very playable... I couldn't putt at all, and missed 6-7 footers on 3 of the first 4 holes... Had 2 birdies - Almost holed a 6 iron and it went to 2 feet, and holed a 20ft putt on a par 3... Had about 37-38 points.

Dona Julia was a fantastic course... Super layout with some real tricky holes - a 670 METRE (740 YARD) Par 5 which is usually into the wind... (I parred it!). Great condition and really big greens. Could have been faster but still very true... The designer lost the plot on the back 9 with 3 par 3s in a row, which was pretty boring, and again, I couldn't putt... Had about 7 3 putts in the round... Finished with 27 points...

Here's a few course pics, but most of my swing - What d'ya think of it? (I'm the young one)

Great pics scotty, your face in the first one is classic. :)

I know... My brother was taking the photo and took forever messing about with the camera settings and I was getting impatient...

That first hole on Dona Julia looks like something out of a film where the image is computer generated - not real.

Absolutely stunning...thanks for sharing.
