I read in another thread that someone had a yardage finder stolen from his cart. This makes me wonder... I leave my clubs outside the clubhouse all the time if i'm hanging out for a beer etc after a round. Anyone ever had anything stolen? Should I be marching my gear back to my truck before my 19th hole socials??

About 3 years ago I had my entire bag stolen while inside the proshop. The worst thing was that it happened at the course I worked at. I have also known several people to have their sticks "get up and walk away" while at the course. My advice would be to put the beer on hold for the whole 5 minutes it takes to put your clubs in a secure place.

A neighbor I've had for 30 years works at the golf course where I play. He and his son had there FULL bags stolen OUT of their automobile last year right in the parking lot. Insurance covered everything, but that would absolutely stink to walk out to your auto and find that. Bummer

You would hope that you could leave your bag outside while you toss back a few. But you never know.

Yeah, be really careful with your clubs. I once had a club stolen out of my bag when I was in the proshop. It was a beat up little $12 left handed Top Flight putter that I'd found in a bin somewhere but that seemed to get the job done pretty well. In the bag I had a brand new Callaway Great Big Bertha driver with Adams Tight Lies fairway Woods. Why they didn't take those, I'll never know. But I got to the first green and didn't have my putter so I drove back to my vehicle to see if it was there. No dice. It had been stolen. Strange.

I have had clubs stolen twice. Once they took my driver.

The second was the strange one. I went in at the turn to get some water, came back and my irons were gone, just the irons. They left a titleist 983 k driver, scotty cameron circle t tour putter, 2 taylor y cutter wedges and a great big bertha 3 wood. The irons were Mizuno T-zoid pro's nothing special, I guess they must have wanted them pretty bad.

At one course I play, the pro's clubs were stolen right out of the pro shop's closet in broad daylight...
