I currently have a Ping sedona 2 which is by no means advanced. I was wondering about these new putters with the machined faces. I can honestly say my putting is the best part of my game and think that I should update to something a little more modern, but I dont think I am ready for a $300 Scotty Cameron yet. advice?

Try and find a used odyssey tri hot. They have a great feel and you can find them for under $100.

If you're short stick is hot, never, ever, ever change it. The worst move a good golfer can make is changing putters if they're doing well with the one they have.

If the TV turns on, has good sound and does everything you need, would you buy a new one?

If it's ain't broke, don't fix it. Take it from me, I went with the new fangled putter this year and it was a huge mistake. I'm keeping the one in my bag until I die. At the end of the day, it's how many strokes you have written on your card, not how flashy or showy you got them there.

Just my $0.02.

Because the new tv's are plasma! LOL

I was trying not to say it, but of course you're going to be the first guy in recommending another putter.

"Ya dude, buy more clubs. Then sell me your old ones!" :D

I agree with Rock. If you are already putting well, changing the putter now may be a mistake. The Odyssey putters are usually priced fairly and they are ALL OVER EBAY for relatively cheap. So finding something economical won't be a problem. A putter is like an old baseball glove, who cares how it looks, its all about feel.
