So I was out playing a few holes last night and I decided to bring the camera. It was a beautiful evening, although the light is now faing these nights rapidly. :( 9.15pm and it was dark!

Using a bin on the tee, I managed to position the camera for a decent shot of the swing. (I had to be fairly confident I didn't get on eoff the tope!!).

After some minor edits, here it is. I am hitting a 6 iron about 167 yards (no wind). I hit this to about 20 ft.

My swing looks to have shortened. Same thing with my driver. I dunno. Constructive criticism welcomed.

Any reason why your swing was posted in the "Off Topic...not golf" forum..?

You're pretending to be a hacker again...Jeez!

(sadly I cannot open this file for some reason, so no smart comments from me, I'm afraid! I'm sure it looks good, though).

Howya Irish - yeah yer right it is a shorter backswing. Risking ridicule for being stalkerish, I've saved an old clip of yer swing - which I think was taken on the practice ground during Junior Cup weekend

Looks good.
Shorter backswing, but good acceleration through the shot.
Good balance, nice weight transfer, without overusing your hips.
A true Leadbetter swing.

BTW, moving to ST :)

Yep I agree with Loop, furthermore the nature of the swing isn't high impact so to me it's the type of swing that you could keep into yer golden years with very little tinkering

One thing I do notice is that your wrists appear to flip a bit more than they probably should when you release through impact. That may be just because of the weird camera angle, though.

i was always told to move my hips so i "turn" i can only really see your hips on the first one.

going slightly o/t

i would be interested in what people have to say about my swing, this was with an MP-33 in my hands. Sadly there is a touch of over swing in this, which im not happy about, must correct that!

sorry its at 90 degrees, I'm trying to sort that.

Woosey--

The #1 thing I see is your turn. You're losing a lot of power because you're twisting around the center of your body rather than having a firm right side and building power up on the backswing. Your body is actually tilted forward at the top of the swing rather than having a relatively straight line on the right side of your body. See Tiger. Almost all of his weight is on his right side at the top of the swing. I'd concentrate on keeping your right knee bent and trying to get your left shoulder to move ACROSS you toward your where your right shoulder was at the start of the swing rather than DOWN toward the ball. It may feel like a sway, but as long as you keep your right knee steady you'll only be improving your weight shift.

One way to think about your swing once your right knee is solid is to make your left knee run the bases. Imagine your left knee at the start of your swing as home plate. It starts at home plate, at the top of the swing it will go to first, and as you finish the swing it will go to second and third and finally back to home.

Yeah, I was going to say you have a GREAT move through the ball. Lots of lag, lots of speed, really athletic move.
