Normally not a fan of TM, but there are some good deals on Ebay at the moment. The question I have is this: are all their drivers close faced unless they are the "TP" version? I am looking at a R510 on ebay and its a good deal, but i dont want it if it is closed....

why not the 510 tp ? many claim it to be the best tm to date.

Minimally closed. Really depends on the model. The R7 and R7425 are meant to be for a lower capper, less closed. The 460 and 460Draw are slightly more closed respectively. My R5TP seems to almost be slightly open. Here are some pics of my 425 at adress. http://www.shottalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8545

BTW- The 510 is a few generations old, like before I even took up golf.

If you are paying more than about $30-$35 for a non-TP, it's too much. I'd go for the TP version for a 390cc or the original R7 quad for a 400cc head.

Last pic I saw was of him using the TP 510. But I guess every golfer has a bit of ho in them. ;)

MOST pics I've seen of Freddie on Getty have him with the 510TP. I was surprised to see the 580 in there

The tour players I know do have rooms filled with clubs.
You would fall over if you went to mark brooks house and see the bags of clubs he has.
So keep them for sentimental reasons and some just don't know what to do with them.
Some are like us and when you find something that works you keeps it, even after we find the next one that works.:)

It may be older, but I bet its still as long as any "new" driver on the market. truthfully, its the right size, good shaft (graf blue) and a good price. I just dont want a closed face-like training wheels IMO...I would not pay more than $40 though...

PS-i don't go for the newer models (R7, R5 etc) because far to many are ummm FAKE! :)

PM me if you are interested in a nice condition R510TP. I have a line on one with an X-flex Speeder in a 9.5* for $125. I wanted to try to work out a trade with my R5TP but the guy wants $$$ only.(Probably for Christmas).

Didnt you just tell me not to spend more than $35-40 on one...LOL

Seriously though, that is to much for me to spend around xmas time, even though i would rather have the TP version.

That's for a TP with a Speeder. Expensive shaft. The TP's should go for 4 times as much for that club. What are you looking for and looking to spend? I'll keep my eye out for you.

510 TP with speeder usually pretty easy to find on ebay.

Price ~150 bucks
