The Itch!! New clubs = Walter Hagens!!

So one of the managers at work and myself were supposed to play a round Monday. . .Of course he never called to confirm he was going, I assumed he was just being himself!! Well, he had his clubs stolen out of the back of his pickup truck. . .DUH!! Golf is too popular to leave your clubs unprotected. And besides that, if they want them bad enough, it doesn't matter if they're locked up in the back of your SUV, they'll get them. So I talked with him and it looks like he'll be buying my old T.Made SuperSteel Burner Irons I have, the T.Made camelback stand bag I have, and one of the old drivers I have.

SO, new clubs for me. I decided to go with the Hagens after hitting them, the T.Made clubs (not the OS, I forget now), Callaway X16's--I think. . .I hit the Hagens straighter and longer than the other 2 I tried. Plus, the set comes with hybrid 3 and 4 irons. Much easier for me to hit and more forgiving I'm guessing. I picked up a Hagen backpack stand bag and a Cleveland SW. Off to the range tonight to hit a couple of buckets. WOOHOO!! Nothing like new toys.

The funny thing about my Burner irons, I hit them pretty well. . .just had the 7 iron and lob wedge reshafted (I smacked the side of the bag one day with a club out of anger). But the Hagens felt really nice. Its supposed to rain about the time I tee off today, maybe I'll get lucky. I know of one driving range with a canopy. . .ANyway, thanks and I will let you know what I think of them.
