First let me introduce myself. I'm Stephen Mitchell and I've just written my first golf related novel. For almost 12 months the 'unfortunately' slips have been falling through the letter box from the main players in the publishing world. Comments such as 'good idea - but it's not for us' or 'we are less than enthusiastic about the commercial viability of a golf novel' ... and so forth, have dampened my spirits. Finally though, a small publisher in the UK has had the belief in the book to take it on.

So here's the rub. It will only be available initially in the UK from Amazon.co.uk or the high street bookstores. If i can show a growing interest from elsewhere in the golfing world, my publisher is prepared to invest in producing the book in the US and listing on Amazon.com. But he needs convincing the demand exists first.

I read tons of novels and have a friend who has published two medical thrillers which I have helped edit.

I will order your book if it will help you get interest from AmazonUS. AmazonUK charges an arm and a leg to ship to here though.

Thanks to Sling & Bravo for your support. Momentum is building and looking more promising for wider release. I'm going to set up a 'blog' site tied into themorrismen.com website so I can post updates on availability, book reviews, feedback and so forth. Should be up and running in about a week or so.

Until it appears on Amazon.com, I'm going to offer to sell direct from the website etc. I can buy at discount and pass this on in the form of subsidised shipping. That way, you ought to be able to pick it up for RRP instead of RRP+$$$ for shipping.
