OK...let's do it again...another wee Shottalk competition...

Pick four golfers you think will do well at The Open.

As before, the winner of The Open gets 10 points, 2nd 9, 3rd 8 etc down to 1 point for 10th.

If you pick a non-top 30 ranked golfer and they get in the top 10 spots, you get 5 bonus points.

Let's also say again that Tiger and Vijay can't be picked - too many would prob go for them and they are too obvious.

I've kept the scoring system the same as before.

To kick it off, my four picks are Els, Phil, Westwood and Harrington. Here's hoping one of them becomes Champion Golfer of The Year at The Open!

(If Harrington withdraws, i'm going for Donald)

I'll throw in a Shot talk coffee mug to the winner (cheesey, I know but it will have to do). :D

I'll have to submit them tomorrow, as I am now typing in my sleep.

BTW....I'll not be winning my own coffee mug so it will be for bragging rights only. ;)

I like these pick-ems...

Lemme get some sleep...and see if I have electricity tomorrow. I bet I will.

I have a feeling about Sergio, Singh and Harrington but those are not my picks...just a tired long day and a few vodkas, bleary eyed...

Good Night.

Sergio garcia
Darren Clarke
Maarten Lafeber (hitting the ball great)
Jim Furyk

Though I hope the amature from my place Brian Mcelhiney does well, he qualified for the open through winning the british amature.

Lets hope I can do a double and get that mug!

1) Toms
2) Els
3) Garcia
4) Goosen

Retief is going to come back - steely eyed and strong in the gut for victory.

He has special motivation for this one...

update...looks like Paddy Harrington may withdraw due to the sad death of his father.

I'm sure best wishes from all of us go out to him - and in practical terms all of us who chose him can make changes to our selection before the closing time.
