Think I solved the consistency problem...

Golf pride tour velvet .600 = 50g
.580 = 52g
I was using the .580's 1/32 over for years, and switched to the .600's 1/32 over. You can get the same feel with the 580 with one less wrap, but the .600 helps to increase swing weight (approx 1pt)

As long as its down in my fingers I am good unless the grip feels slippery.
 
I use the golf pride tour velvet tour 25g. I can take the factory tip weights out pushing my sweet spot out a little and lighten the club almost a whole ounce while keeping a d5 or more swingweight which prefer.
