Not to out do the London bombings. Definite thoughts there.

WTF is going on with this child abduction and molestation? It seems that this problem is running rampant these days.

My big issue on the whole thing is why are WE letting these people continue to do these lude acts to our children. I would think that a large majority of our population would favor either locking these creeps up for good or killing them. Our politicians and judges are not thinking clearly here.

I am an eye for an eye type. These feckers should be tortured in prison by other inmates. They should all carry tattoos that say child killer/molester on their backs. That way, other inmates know what they did and will make them pay.

So what’s so effed up with our laws in this country that we let these pieces of vomit out on our streets to harm innocent children? This is so effen effed up it really pisses me off. I’m effen pissed about this crap. I’d like to hunt this Duncan effer down and spend a couple of weeks kicking the crap out of him.

Just venting.

One of the factors that people in the criminal justice system need to be aware of is that child molestation has virtually a 100% recidivism rate.

When I was playing golf with the psychiatrist a couple of weeks back - we touched on the Michael Jackson case and he said that psychologists and psychotherapists have been completely unable to understand why the pedophile is unable to stop their behavior.

With this in mind - and purely as a practical matter in terms of protecting the public - these people need to be locked up because our current state of medicine/healthcare has no way of stopping their urges.

That's really scary when you consider that authorities have lost track of about 100,000 registered sex offenders.

Dave, anything you need/want to add to this statement? ;)

All kidding aside, I just don't get the judicial system anymore. I think as time goes on, you're going to see more and more vigilanties out there taking the law into their own hands. Scary, but people are fed up with this wrist slap shit.

I did read an article recently that indicated Texas law says if you commit a second offense - you are locked up forever.

Good job by the Republic on this one...

Unfortunately, that second offense has a very high probability of happening and it will probably result in more death and abuse to innocent kids. I'll bet their are plenty of second time offenders who aren't even getting caught.

Something HAS to be done to them after the first offense before they are even allowed back near a child. They SHOULD all be implanted with a tracking device for absolute certain. In a location where they are unaware. Hey, they effed up in the first place, so they should be subject to whatever kind of crap we feel they should get.

A hot cattle prod up the ass for these losers would also be accepted.

If they could get it past the Courts I'm sure we'd bring back the firing squad for these people. You shouldn't get a second chance to hurt a child.

WORD!

Why does this stuff not happen? What kind of person actually wants these people to have an attempt to be 'reformed' and live a life? I say eff 'em...they know the laws beforehand, they know its wrong, there should be harsh consequences and they should be met with those.

What is stopping us from doing something? Jesus effing christ!

Politely requesting you do not blaspheme the Lord's name.

As far as these child molesters go, they probably started off killing and torturing small animals, and then moved on from there. Sick.

I love this...watching an American ask for tougher penalties.

I don't know the Duncan story, so I'm claiming full ignorance, but I do know that you Yankees have some of the harshest/longest penal sentence averages in the world. To the point where it's absurd. Especially considering how well it's working to reduce the crime rate.

And no, I'm not saying pedophiles should get off easy (no pun intended). Just remarking.
