... it's crack! It's an addiction! It's as bad as gambling or calling an escort service every other night!

50's this morning. Had the round of the year. 37 on the front. 50 yards out on 18, a par 5. All I need is a chip and putt for bird. Birdie would have given me a 35 on the back... Even par for the round. Takes me 4 to get down from 50 yards... bogey! #$%^& Still, at 68 years old to card a 74??!!?? If I'd made the bird, would have shot 3 over my age. But...

I've got a set of Eye 2+, 1-wedge... all matching serial numbers located that I can pick up for a song. Then, I just found a set of BeNi ISI's, 1-9, W, W2, S, S2... all matching serial numbers that I can pick up even cheaper. I need (no, want) new wedges. Been to 4 different golf shops this past week.

See what I mean?? How many guys my age would love to even be able to play this game? How many people at any age would be pleased with carding a score in the lower 70's. Yet, I can't be satisfied. I still have to look for that magic, hidden inside a different set of clubs.

My cart partner shoots in the 90's. We have a blast, playing this game together. His clubs have to be 10 years old. He never carries more than 10 clubs. He's so tight, you couldn't pry $1 dollar out of him for a $300 driver... unless he could sell it tomorrow and pocket the change. He's is estatic when he can break 90. By hole 16 or 17, he always knows whether or not he has a chance. And, whether he breaks 90 or not, he has a good laugh and can't wait until the next round.

Me, on the other hand, can't be satisfied until I do shoot my age. I'm sure, after another iron set or two... after another fairway wood or two... after another putter or two.... I hate this Game!!!!!!

68? You must've started counting backwards a few (40) years ago. :p

Great round!!!

Buy the BeNi's if for no other reason than to have them. Those are sweet clubs!

Had a couple sets of the BeNi's over the years. I love the looks and feel of those. The ONLY reason I ended up with the BeCu Eye 2+ irons over the BeNi's was that you simply cannot wear out the grooves on the BeCu set. The BeNi irons will show groove wear long before the BeCu irons do. I know my BeCu irons have close to... if not over... 1,000 rounds on them. The grooves show no wear whatsoever.

Those sir, are some words to live by!

I say every off season that this is the year I really commit to getting better, finally getting in the 80's on a regular basis, but then baseball (for my 9 yr old) and softball (for my 11yr old) seem to put those words on the back burner... I get out about 3-4 times a month and wish too some day get that to 7-8 lol... But I still enjoy playing non the less even shooting in the 90's.....lol... There's always a few shots a round that get and keep the fire burning for me

I keep hearing that golf is made more difficult as a result of spending time with kids. I hear that so much that I am believing to have found the real secret for Game improvement. NO SEX!!!! And to think the millions who have played this game over 150 years haven't been able to figure that out!!!!:D
