Like others in here have said it's in the head. I had putting problems this summer and the harder I worked on it the worse I got. Then someone just said to relax and trust your stroke and that was all it took. I do the best job reading the putt as I can, pick my line and putt. But in all my experimenting I found that (for awhile) the left hand low grip helped. Changing putters didn't make much difference. Then when the left hand low grip went south I just relaxed using my old grip and there it was. I've looked at all the putting strokes of the old timers and current pros. Quit a difference. The old guys would get all "compact" and use wristy strokes and the current pros stand more upright and have their wrists locked. They all putt good so it all comes down to what works I guess.
