Hi
i know tiger woods began playing golf as soon as he started walking, but i always wondered what his teenage years were like. I have read some books but it doesnt have anything on him as a teen. Does anyone know what handicap he had at like age 16? i always wondered how much he practiced and what the rest of his life was like. does anyone have any info on him or other pros during their teenage years or a books they can reccomend?
thanks

I can remember reading about Tiger when he was as young as 15 yo. Sports writers saw the freight train coming and wrote about it.

We can speculate that his handicap when he was 16 was likely well into the plus column.

He has two very devoted and wonderful parents and from what I can tell - had as a good a home life as anyone.

Interestingly, from what I have read - while it was his father who taught him the game - it was his mother that taught him to believe he could simply shred opponents into dust. After he won his first few tourneys, she expected him to win handily and was disappointed when he did not blow the field away.

He has an awesome combination of cultures in his background.

The thing i always thought was funny about his mom and dad is that he was this big army guy and she always calls HIM the softy. As far as Tiger as a teen im not sure about his handicap. But with all his wins all i know is he was scarry good.
