Proud moment for our Country Club.
They have a long history opened in 1911, Sam Snead was the resident pro when he started out. Arnold Palmer met his wife there, Jackie Gleason used to play there.
They had a bridge they replaced every year for the last 100+ years, and could go down due to flooding. They put in a permanent bridge in the last couple months. We had a celebration to honor the old bridge. 24 of the 27 holes are in an Island in the Delaware Water Gap between PA and NJ accessible by the bridge.
I had the honor of serving as President for a couple years.
