Video embedding is on the fritz

I tried to embed this youtube video but it says the specified url cannot be embedded as media.

It's got me beat why it wouldn't work for me. It was a simple 4 step process:

1. Copy youtube link.
2. Click on film icon above message field
3. Paste link in field of pop up window
4. Get frustrated at fail message for something that I've successfully done many, many times ...

I just copied the link straight into the message area.
It embeds it itself.
