I just had a thought about wedges. I have carried as many as 4 wedges at one time. Now I'm starting to think maybe I should just go back to the old model and carry 2 wedges (Pitching and Sand 48* and 56*). I can mostly do everything that I do with my 52* with my pitching wedge and the same goes for my lob wedge vs. my sand wedge. When I first started oh 30 odd years ago I had to work with what was available since Gap wedges weren't the in thing. What does everyone else think?

In the poll I actually meant to put for choice 2 a 48*, 52* and 58* It woildn't let me change it.

48,54,60.

great combo. if you dont use a 60 much then just keep it in the bag untill the situation really calls for it. there's one or two shots every few rounds when a 60* wedge helps a ton.

I would look at 48º, 53º, and 58º.....

My PW is 46º so I carry a 52º and a 58º.

I play a 47* pw, a 53*, and a 60*. I never once have wished I had something else when playing..

Good timing on the thread as I'm in the process of changing my wedges again. I was carrying 47*, 50*, 54*, and 58* but I found myself with too many choices and I often wishing I had chosen the "other" wedge.

I'm going to be picking up an i5 PW to finish off my iron set so my PW will go from a 47* to a 46*. From there the 50, 54, and 58 will be swapped out for a 51-56 combo.

A 46º, 52º, 58º combination would be a little more versatile....

I don't believe anyone aprt from a pro who plays all around the world every wek may need 4.

47 52 58 for me

I checked the bags on a site and most bags are 3 wedges,I checked 20 and found 4 with 4 wedges

I'm going with the PING iWedge which has a heel grind that facilitates opening of the face so I should be able to play those 58 wedge shots when I need to.

I could go 3 but would need a blade Miura. The CB is like a shorter 9iron. I just can't hit the same shots I do with a 50* wedge. Plus it flys over 130.
