Anybody else impressed the the 15 year old finished alone in second behind Annika? I was beginning to think it was all hype but the girl must have a pretty good game.

Yep. She's pretty good. As long as her putter sticks around, she'll compete every weekend.

Compete for second, that is.... :D

I absolutely agree with this...Annika is a force that is umatched. She is longer (than most) straighter and a better putter than anyone on the LPGA and she will win the Grand Slam.

I'm not a big fan a women's golf but I think I could be if Wie and Sorenstam continue to fight for 1st and 2nd week after week...will be fun to watch.

I think our local paper read your thread about Annika last week. Every golf story in last weeks paper was Annika's great play and pic etc. placed above Booz Allen. People are starting to catch on what a great player she is.

One thing to note is that Sunday she was the first day she felt ok. She had stomach problems on Thurs- Sat. Hopefully Annika will get all of her winning done soon because as soon as Michelle graduates and turns pro Annika will be competing for everything BUT first. Then we can call her Annika Sore-loser-stam. :-D

So whatever happened to Karrie Webb???

Did her and Duval go to the same Zen Buddha slef-healing place? Maybe she met up with Ricky Williams too? I haven't heard anything from her in a while?

I think she's over in Australia. I saw her kicking the crap out of a bunch of Asian ladies on the Auzzie tour a while back. She won some tournament by 10 strokes or something nuts like that.

Wie will be good. But Annika is the best. She's consistent, has all the tools of the game needed to win (including experience) and a fantastic caddy. Wie has all the tools, they just don't all gel right now. And she has zero experience. And she's 15. An she has no caddy. And she hasn't won anything yet (Chris DiMarco-esque).

Give her time, and she'll win. But Annika will win 20 times before that happens.

i think the major reason that there was so much grumbling from some of the women on the tour.they are afraid to have it handed to them by a 15 yr old.

if i was a women and on tour i would welcome her.because it causes exposer for there tour therefore creating more money for the purses.with all the draw she brings she still dosent get any of there money.so why not let her play all she is doing is adding money to there pocket.

but when she grtaduates and turns pro then they will have somthing to gripe about because there is no doubt she will be taking there money.

She's at it again.

This week she's playing with the boys and finished the first round -1. Don't you know the network is hoping she can make the cut.

She played half decent today. I think she can do better on that course. It seems to be set up for her game (long ball).

Anyone see Glen Hnatiuk? -6 today. I bet that's a career round for the Canuck! :canadafla

Sorenstam is one of the most dominating forces in athletics/sports I've ever seen. Wie is a great player, especially for her age, but Annika is hitting on all cylinders all of the time. And only looks to improve. I didn't know Annika was playing with the guys again. I think if she can get through the anxiety and the pressure, she'll exert some pressure of her own. I'd like to see it.

If she qualifies I say more power to her. I did not like annika getting a sponsor exemption. Let her qualify like the other 100 or so guy that try to qualify each week.

I see. . .I just assumed it was Annika. Wow, a lot of pressure for such a young kid. Has to bee fun though.
