And with the rise, come the fall. I shot 86 on Saturday. Our rough was horrendous, chop our sideways stuff, if you managed to find it! My driver went on walkabouts. Putting was good through. Here's my new best friend.

So my last two rounds have been 69 (-1) and 86 (+14). Go figure!

And just that quickly.... 85 this morning. Seemed like it was a game I am totally unfamiliar with! Won $2.00 yesterday and lost $3.00 today. Complete frustration.

Just went to bed last night and BOOM a bolt of lightning hit very close as both the flash and boom were together. It also had such a shock wave the cat (next to me in bed) jumped straight up into the air.. It hit the phone box between our house and neighbors. Some pics.

Today played with Dan and shot 45 and 41 for 86. Oh well. That's the corner of our house where I was sleeping.

Played nine hole league. Started out on 1 with two consecutive chunks and got a double bogey. Then two bogeys on the next two holes and I'm ready to pack it up. 4th hole pushed my drive right and had to go over a huge tree and I did it! Even got it close enough to the pin to made a birdie. Then another bogey on an easy par 3 and a par on a tough par four. Three more pars (two par fives) to finish with a 40.

Fun morning. 38/36 for a 74. Shot my age. Won 50 cents.

We had four of us this morning. One of the guys had five.... FIVE birdies! He's never carded that many birds in one round in his life. He was headed out to buy some lottery tickets!!
Between the four of us, we had 9 birdies this morning. One guy with five. Two of us with two each. The fourth guy had zero.
In our "game" you just couldn't win anything with a par today. Again... nice weather and really fun golf.
