Alrite I was thinking of getting new irons , because i grew out of my other ones (still growing). I am still kinda new to the game, 2nd year, but i shoot in thge high 80s. My price range is $550 tops. I was thinking of the MX-17s or maybe the Taylormade rac os2. HELP.

Welcome aboard Lax! I see you are from Connecticut.....me too (Old Lyme).

We have a club EXPERT who posts here regularly, look for input from OBagain. You could get a minty set of used irons from him (he has millions of them) for that amount or less or you could get a new set or lesser quality.

Being new to the game the standard reccomendation around here is the Tommy Armor 845's for around $200. This is a good quality club for not alot of money.

i agree with sling on the 845`s a buddy of mine has a set.but i would go try some out.for $550 you could get a set of callaway big berthas.i almost bought a set of them this season bnefore going to the x-18`s.

i found the big berthas easy to hit.but maube ob will have some advice but im sure most people will tell you to go and hit some and see what you like.

i have a set of used MX-15's for 175. Whereabouts in CT are you?

Anyway, if you havent decided on irons yet and can afford to go the new route, i'd try everything you can get your hands on then go and buy a set off ebay
