I just picked up a MP 001 Mizuno. Had the Adilia in it and it is way to whipy. My swing speed is pretty fast and pretty hard around 115 or so. Anyone have a shaft (stiff) that they have had good luck with that is not to expensive. I have always run the Pro Series Yellow and Blue 75. Just wondering what yall thought. What about the Speeders?? Heard they are pretty impresive. Feedback anyone??

Are you referring to the proforce blue and gold by UST? Those are pretty stiff. I am surprised you find the NV whippy? That shaft is the cat's ass. I've never hit the Speeder, but the Graff Blue is pretty stiff in S flex. You can try X flex if you want to hit it low and right all day ;)

BTW - I swing about the same speed as you and don't care for the Blue. Love the NV though. Although I like a shaft I can torque a little bit :D

I had the same experience with the NV. I'm not sure if it really is too whippy, or if it's just the high bend point of the shaft, but it didn't get it done for me, at least when i had a 115 mph swing speed and a quick tempo. I'm awaiting delivery of a Mizuno MP-001 with a TX-90 stiff steel shaft in it, i'll let ya know how it goes

The aldila shafts have a very active tip. This is why it feels whippy. What do you want to change about your ball flight? I can make suggestions but I need more info.

I have thought this ever since I hit my first NV65, that it was a great shaft for keeping the ball low, in my R7 I thought it was too low. The NVS65 is a good shaft, I liked it, and I seemed to get a higher flight out of it. I think the ball flight is low with the NV because of that "active tip". As previously stated, what do you want to do with your ball flight, that makes all the difference.

I have the NV shaft in my Titleist driver and love it. I did hit it with a Speeder and it was ok. Graf Blue seamed to REALY get the ball high and i dont need that, but all are good shafts

I love the trajectory of the Graf Blue Stiff. It launches the ball high and with a boring and long trajectory. Perfect for control, yet long drives.

But to each thier own.

Wow went to a private testing center today that is made specifically for shafts and analyzing your swing. They carried just about every name brand shaft you could think of. Didn't know that Tiger switched to Graphite?? The guy had the same exact driver Tiger is hitting. Shaft retailing at just over $380. Wow WAY to much for a shaft. Anywho the reason I am predicting I need a new shaft is because of my non consistent drives. I have changed nothing about my swing but I can bomb one 300 and then fade one 270. I have never thought the difference in stiff shafts has had that great of an impact on my ball flight and control, obviously it does. I have not yet decided on what shaft, and im not looking to spend more than 75 bucks so that pretty much rules out the speeder. Thanks for your help I think I might get one of the new Pro Force they seem to be pretty good. Thanks for the input.

The pro force v2 is a very good shaft for the money. The new baking process really makes a lot of difference.

Most people are blown away when they get on a launch monitor and see the difference a shaft can make.

i have a proforce v2 in my 983k, and I love it. It's worth every penny. I have the 75, x-stiff, I love the weight. It allows me to draw the ball more consistently, and control my trajectory.great shaft for the dollars.

I have the Graf ProLaunch Blue Stiff and love it. It is for a middle ball flight. (Not to high, not to low)
