Did you already buy it? GG has 15% off on all Titty's right now. There are a few sweet 905R's in a 10.5* on there.

No, I haven't bought anything yet. I check GG but didn't see anything that really caught my fancy. They do have a 983K with a NVS in it that looks OK.

What do you think about that TEE with the Comp NT Prototype?

I a little over my projected budget, but I just did my taxes and I'm getting a little back :)

Tour Edge Exotics 10.5* reshafted with a Graffaloy Comp NT Prototype in Regular flex. $145.

Anyone know anything about this shaft? I had the 10.5* TEE and liked the height and distance but the stock Fuji HL-55 shaft was a hook machine for me. How would this Comp NT shaft perform?

SiberianDVM

I put one of those in my Launcher Comp last summer and hated it. But some in here love it. It's still a far better shaft then the Fuji though.

:)

Never hit the TEE but the Comp NT was decent. I had it in an X which was too much for me. I've debated time and again about trying it in an S. I just keep finding these super high end shafts for cheaper and can't resist. Why buy a Comp NT when a Rombax 7W06 was like $8 cheaper.

The TEE with the Comp NT was one of the best drivers I have ever hit. Very solid and dependable.

If you like more solid feeling shafts, the Comp NT is the way to go. If you're more of a swinger, and you like crap like the NV;), you probably won't be a fan.

The TEE is a superb head, tho.

Like night and day!! You wouldn't know it from their advertising but they feel a world apart. NVS is FAR superior and I hear the VS Proto is better then the NVS. :D

this of course is a matter of opinion. The NV is still Aldila's number one shaft on tour by a mile. The VS proto is starting to catch up. The NVS is non-existent. All 3 are great shafts.

The NVS is non existant on Tour. And so are Tour shafts for the layperson.

It's all a matter of opinion, but don't be swayed by what you see on Tour. Two totally different realms.

I guess my point is that a few guys on this board are really hard on the NV but pro NVS for reasons that are completely contradictory to the specs of the shaft. The NV is the firm shaft and the NVS is the softer one. The specs don't lie - the NVS has higher torque and a lower kick point.

The extent of the NV bashing on this board leaves me puzzled, especially since it is the #1 selling aftermarket shaft in the USA. Check these press releases - there's nary a mention of the NVS except to say that the VS proto falls somewhere "between" an NV and NVS

No NVS on tour??? Found this.... :D

"This is not to mention the loss Tiger suffered in match play to Nick O'Hern playing the PING Rapture fitted with Aldila's NVS shaft."
