ASSOCIATED PRESS
Unable to earn her card through sponsor exemptions, Michelle Wie has entered the LPGA Tour qualifying school and will play the first stage next week on the California course where she first rose to fame at age 13.

I hope she qualifies, love to see her full time on the tour.

I hope she makes it and just becomes a regular on the LPGA tour. I think she can win two or three times a year if she just plays a normal schedule and settles into the tour.

Only seen one of those play in person and that was Nordqvuist. She's an impressive golfer.

Well, yes and no. I wrote it and posted it elsewhere, but then the topic came up here. Like I've said before, I don't normally like to cross-post, but I wasn't about to re-type/re-format that bad boy, and I thought STers would find it interesting how many Big Breakers (and other notables) were in Q-School.

WCD (Weapons of Course Destruction?) -

Wie shot the tournament low 65 today. Launched herself into 2nd place.

I'm tellin' ya' . . . if this young woman can ever start playing consistently, shed her baggage (parents, expectations, media scrutiny, etc), she could really be something to watch.

On a side note, TGC.com has another idiotic headline:

ai340.photobucket.com_albums_o325_HarryLongshanks_Wieheadline_1.jpg

The "snub"? She declined to talk to the media after her first Q-school round. Oh, the humanity!!!!

This is the second stupid TGC.com headline about Wie and Q-School (the previous being the suggestion that Q-School was "A Step Backward" for Wie.

They can't wait to rip her when she takes sponsors' exemptions into the PGA or even LPGA, but when the takes the other path, they still rip her.
