Post up the worst job you ever had. Also a list of all the jobs you've had? Just something to talk about during the winter months...
During my college years I worked two jobs, one for a local family owned restaurant and another for a family owned factory that was sold to a multinational corporation while I worked there.
The factory was the worst. 120+º and the machines I worked on were hotter than that. The machines I worked on were a constant drone of extremely loud noise. 12 hour shifts starting at 4AM.
The worst part was when the two jobs came together and I worked the bar too. Which meant Friday(no classes) I would work 4am - 4pm at the factory, drive home, shower, change, eat something, and head to the restaurant. Work as a busboy till 11, then work the bar till 3. Back to the factory at 4. Saturday we only typically worked till noon though, so I could get some sleep in before going back to the restaurant.
Then it was sleep and study all day sunday, back to the classes Monday.
It sucked, but the people that I worked with at those two jobs were the most fun people ever. I would ALMOST go back to it if it paid well.
Jobs:
1. Paper route...probably 100 papers couple years from like age 10
2. Landscaping/mowing/general outdoor work - Random jobs
3. BusBoy - 7 Years from high school through most of college
4. Factory job, anything from TIG welding, to Swagging, to cutting tubes, final assembly....i did pretty much every job on that line besides QA at one time or another. 5 years Concurrently with the busboy position.
5. Software development....since like 2007, three different places now, pretty much plan on doing this from here on out
