I'm looking for a stiff flex version of the stock 55 gr R1 driver shaft with the length unaltered and the grip and adapter installed.

I don't think there is a S version of the 55 gr stock shaft. You have to go to the TP 65 gr stock shaft. And that's over $200 new.

I don't think you can get a S flex 55 gr stock shaft for the R1. I think if you want a S flex you have to get the TP 65 gr stock shaft (which is over $200 new).

Nah! They made a "standard" 'R' flex and 'S' flex. They are the 55 gr Phenoms. The 65 gr Phenom was available as one of the TP options.
The 'bay has a bunch of the 55 gr 'S' flex... and other R1 shaft options. IIRC, you can buy the 55 gr. 'S' flex... with tip and grip... in the $45 range.
