WTF?

Today, it's pouring out, all the courses are closed, but i know i can go play on at one of them. So i drive down with about 45 minutes of daylight left, with 9 clubs in my bag, 7 of which i had never hit before. The driver i had just shortened, and hadnt tried it since then. I had a persimmon 3 wood and old blades with rifle 4.5 shafts(way too whippy), and an old blade putter, as opposed to the huge mallets i use. I walked 9 holes in 40 minutes. I shot even par with 4 bogeys. I was useless outside of 60 yards. But if i was in position to make birdies, i did. Birdied both par 5s after acceptable drives and crappy 3 woods. Birdied the first par 4 after slicing by ball into the rough. Birdied the 8th hole after snaphooking my drive into the rough. I dont get this game

It must be the clubs. Sell those peices of shit and get something new. It's the clubs, man.

I have never bettered level par gross round the course I played for years. I did achieve level par twice in competitions and once was without a wood in my bag! I think it can only be due to the being more relaxed due to having lower expectations
