Dunno if they aired his acceptance speech stateside - but it was particulalry poignant as he spoke of his father never again getting to see moments like this ... he kept his emotions very much in check, but the words he spoke were very much from the heart - he also spoke graciously of DiMarco's own loss.

As for the greatest closing round of a major, he'll still have to take a step back as I think that Greg Norman's 64 (-6) in 1993 Open in Sandwich was pure perfection ..

Rock, well done. I TiVoed the open and made my wife watch him with Steve and Elin - it even impressed her. I felt like Earl watching my son who has worked incredibly hard and finally found achievement.
