The white stuff you see in the picture is hail. It was dime-quarter size and put a hole into vinyl siding. Lots of cleanup today but could have been much worse. We are all safe!

We always spend July 4th at the beach house with family and friends. My aunt lives about 10 minutes away. This year we had my parents, my wife and I, our 4 kids, my oldest son's gf, and my youngest son's best friend staying in the house with our 3 dogs. My aunt, cousin, cousin's gf and 9 year old daughter, and another friend and her daughter (who is good friends with our kids) joined us on the beach yesterday and today. So we had 16 on the beach, then 14 for dinner (grilled burgers, dogs, and veggies). Then we had 20 on the beach for fireworks on the pier when my wife's ex-husband's sister (yes, you read that right) and her husband and 2 daughters joined us.

This has become a family tradition, and one we all look forward to every year. My older kids planned their work schedules around being here. Makes for a truly fantastic weekend!!
