As you may or may not know, I recently bought a used set of irons off ebay (TM OS2). I played hooky on Friday and went out and did nine at my local municipal course (cheap and easy to get on), it's not a long course, but can be challenging due to the hills, which can create a lot of bad lies ie: ball well below/above feet. Anyway, I played the first 6 holes at even par, 1 bogie, 1 birdie, 4 pars. I blew up on the next 2 holes, two doubles, and then par'd the ninth. All in all, not historically bad for me.
Fast foward to Sunday. I played a course near Brantford, On. The Oaks of St.George, my first time playing there and I was anxious to play it. Beautifully laid out, lots of water and some very interesting holes. My irons were for the most part, working beautifully. I hit some great tee shots as well, even knocking one downwind inside 100 yards on a 460 yard par 5. I then proceeded to flub my next two shots being left with a 20 footer for birdie, then I three putted. In fact, I probably three putt 9 greens, maybe ten ( I lost count). I didn't think I was such a terrible putter. I'd misjudge speed, I'd misjudge the line, sometimes the ball even went the opposite way I read the break. I shot a ninety-six. That's at least 10 shots above a normal round, and those were all putts. I'm really excited about my game tee to green, as I can see a real improvement in a short while with these TM's. But my putting really, really, really sucked.
