LPGA

Any LPGA fans?

I love the LPGA, but the last time I saw the leaderboard it was like looking at a menu in a Chinese restaurant.

From today's leader board... 3 Americans, 1 Spaniard, 1 New Zealander born in South Korea, and 5 South Koreans. Not one "Chineese".

I enjoy watching the LPGA. I find it amazing how the LPGA has such a South Korean dominance, while we just don't see the same on the PGA Tour. Most colleges that have golf teams have both mens and womens teams. Lots of that is due to Title 9 rules. Is it because parents don't push their female children to excel in a sport like the do their male children? Difficult to believe "American born" somehow diminishes the athletic ability in the female gender.

LPGA tournaments are a blast. I have always had a good time attending.

I think the South Koreans do so well is as a culture they focus on doing well and for some reason golf is a key sport for their ladies. I read somewhere that Se Ri Pak really started a revolution in Korean Women's Golf. A lot of Korean girls really looked up to her. We have a large Korean population and you see a fair amount of women out on the course.

Ko blowing the win on the 17th with a double bogey. What a bummer.

NYC is a good player. I think she has won 8 or 9 times. I am sure Lydia felt some pressure there.

But becomes the youngest world #1.
Yeah just saw the update that she still made #1.
Next best thing for Kiwi golf since Michael Campbell!!! (Go search him lol, a one hit wonder of the golfing world)
