Tips for hitting out of hard bunker sand around the greens

Can you give me some tips on hitting out of hard bunker sand around the green? I have no idea on how to do it properly and it killed me this past weekend.

I'm with some of the others on this one!
Those pro tips for the "explosion shots" out of bunkers are for people who never play crappy courses with hard bunkers. Seriously!
I played a really nice course where the sand was amazing, you could open up that face and swing as hard as you wanted and hit any kind of shot you hear on T.V. ( within reason of course, but you could do it ), on the muni course I play even if you could pull off those shots it makes no sense to even try. It's basically a chip shot like in the fairway.
Actually, if you really want to learn this shot, everytime you are 10-30yards from the hole in the fairway, open up the face, make a big swing and try to throw your divot at the hole! :wow:
