FROM THE PGA TOUR: "Certain events in life are burned into your memory, allowing you to never forget where and when that event happened. Current and former players share their experiences [in the video about] the first time they met Jack Nicklaus."
My story: I met Jack Nicklaus for the first time on May 1, 2013, at his office in North Palm Beach. He was one of two main characters in my second book (DRAW IN THE DUNES). I remember thinking, "Yeah, but how do I get THAT interview?" On that day at Golden Bear Plaza, I was told to plan for 20 minutes. Jack gave me an hour. Six months later he agreed to write a foreword for the book along with Tony Jacklin.
I do hope to share more about that meeting and interview in the future.
