Asked the boss nicely if she would mind me starting work late so I can play in the Mid-Week medal this morning, she said yes which was nice of here ;)

Pretty cold day, about 4 degrees, 20mph winds, not to bad though - I've only played about twice since I recovered from being ill over Christmas, but seem to have been a bit of a purple patch - shot 76 (par 72) at Sweetwoods Park at the weekend, and week before shot a 75 (par 70) at my home club. Went out this morning not all that inspired, feeling a little stiff and full of cold, but managed to scrape a 39 (par 35) on the front nine, but came back in 33 (par 35) for an overall 72 (par 70) and 43 points (am off 9 at the moment)

Got cut from 9.3 to 8.5 on the competition scores, then got a GP from the head pro to 7.5. YEY! Chuffed to bits now :)

Course competition scratch usually sits at 67 (hard to get a cut at my course!) but being category 2 my buffer means I can now shoot a 77 to hold onto my handicap, with 75's and below getting me a cut.

Fingers crossed I'll be able to play to it!!!

Well done mate. My handicap can't be altered until the Spring Medal normally 1st week in April!
