I am new to the site as well as golf. I purchased an almost new TM Burner 3 wood from ebay a few months ago. The club was in great condition, I am not blaming this on the seller.
I was warming up before a round of golf today and noticed that the ball wasn't going as far and didn't sound the same as normal. I looked at the face of the driver and noticed a crack running horizontally along the top line or groove of the face.
What are my options, other than buying a new 3 wood? I surpassed my budget when I bought new clubs, balls, bag etc. How is Taylor Mades warranty dept?

Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

TM is hit and miss. I suggest sending them an e-mail of calling the directly asking what they can do for you.

The worst case scenario is that you have a cracked 3W head at the end. Best case, they replace it for you free of charge.

Good luck, and keep us posted on what they do/don't do. I always like to hear stories, good or bad. :)

My experience with TM is they usually will replace the club for free if you send it back to them. Have known many people to do this for various reasons including caving in the face and having epoxy or tungsten sets break free in the head.

This assuming that it is not a Counterfeit, which I only mention because you got it on eBay. Which if you find that to be the case, then it is obviously the seller you should blame.

Thanks for the help guys. I will contact Taylor Made about my situation and cross my fingers that it is not a FAKE! I had no idea that they made imitation clubs and passed them off as real ones. I would be really pissed if that is the case. I am crossing my fingers and will update this post down the road.

Thanks again.

I had a face cave in of a r7 425 and they told the pro at my club to give me a tour burner because they couldn't replace my driver. I'd go right to an authorized dealer. Thats what I did and it worked out pretty well.

Good luck.

Update!

I spoke with a rep this morning over the phone and they told me to go to the closest authorized dealer of Taylor Made, which is Dicks sporting goods. Dicks, verified the authenticity of the club and swapped me out for a brand new one. I am very satisfied with Taylor Made and Dicks sporting goods. I am also very glad that I didn't get hosed with buying a counterfeit club on Ebay.

Thanks for everyones help.

Most likely you're out of luck there.
I would still contact the seller first even it's bought used several months ago, then I'd contact Taylormade to see if they would do something for you.
Had you bought it locally, you might have more recourse than buying from the internet.

Ooops,
Dropped the last response.
Callaways and Taylormade had always gone out of their way for customer service.
