    I'm thinking I may add some lead tape to that cavity. All that paint I took off, didn't remove as much weight as I thought it would. I still don't like the cavity the way it is though.
     
    The best carpenters I've had the pleasure to be around were Amish. Hands down.

    We have lots of Amish around here, we used to get Milk from them. There's really nothing better than milk straight from the tits. I have Amish furniture in the house as well. By far the best quality stuff around, and cheaper if you get it straight from them.

    Great people, but they have a problem with trespassing...They don't give a damn that you pay 10k+ in taxes a year to own your land, if they want to hunt it...they hunt it. They shoot anything that moves too...

    There were some Amish up here all last summer buying up farmland. Not sure how they picked up here, but they did.
