Need Honest Feedback from Golfers About Their Shirts

My friends and I will be starting a golf clothing line. We are currently in the research and development stage. We are 3 friends who recently graduated and all have a background in golf. We would love your opinion and advice.

Our goal is to be different.

We're not just going on Alibaba, finding a Chinese supplier and throwing our logo on shirts.

We want to create something special. Here are a few questions I have for you guys. These questions will help shape the look, fit, and feeling of the shirt.

1. Do you care about what material your shirt is made from? (spandex, polyester, nylon, cotton, etc.)
2. According to research, men's top three most favorite colors are (starting from most to least favorite) blue, green, red, orange, and black. What are your top 3 colors that you would actually wear to the course? Trends are showing that guys wear different colors based on type of round (tournament, fun, etc)
3. Is your current golf polo too thin, too thick, or is perfect to your liking? (if it's perfect to your liking, what brand is the shirt made by?)
4. What do you most care about when shopping for a golf polo? (color, design, pattern, fit, material, etc)
5. Do you prefer athletic or regular fit?
6. If the price was the same, would you buy an eco-friendly golf polo over a non eco friendly one? (do you care if a company uses sustainable and eco-friendly materials or not?)
7. Do you have strong brand loyalty to certain companies in the golf world?
8. What is the average price you spend on a golf polo and what is the price you would like to spend for the same quality?
9. Do you base your buying decisions on price or the quality of the shirt? Price/ both
10. If you could change one thing about golf polos, what would it be?
11. What feature do you mostly care about in a golf polo? (anti-odor, wrinkle free, moisture-wicking, softness, etc)
12. If you saw a shirt rack at the golf store with a new brand you have never seen before, how would it have to catch your eye? Price, style, advertising, atmosphere? All the above?

Good luck trying to break into that market, hope you have $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to compete against the likes of Nike, Puma, Adidas, etc.

Personally I think you would be better off taking any venture $$ you have and blowing it on coke and whores because at least you will have had a good time going broke vs having a horrible time trying the golf clothing route.
