I figured it’s worth a shot. I can not possible chip any worse than I have been. I tried Cleveland’s CBX Wedges last year, and they were definitely easier to use compared to normal wedges, but when it came to chipping, I could still chili dip or blade it across the green frequently.
For me, it’s all about the lack of practice time. I do not practice enough to maintain any kind of consistency with Tour style wedges. I am hoping these crutches will allow me to maintain a shred of dignity around the greens given the limited amount of time I spend practicing.
Phase two of my desperation has arrived: the chipper.

Further proof that the memory is not the first thing to go!The third and final tool of desperation has arrived. Mazel 55 degree chipper wedge (Square Strike copy cat). Once I regrip all of the new “wedges” they will be taken out into the wild to compete for that coveted spot in my bag.

Only reason the Mazel was purchased was the loft. The Cleveland should be good with a lot of green to work with, but I wanted to experiment with a more lofted chipper as well when there is not a a lot of room to work with.Further proof that the memory is not the first thing to go!
The Cleveland actually is pretty cool looking, I'd try a few shots with it. The Mazel...well....
Let us know how they do
Reality is, if it works for you, it's a beautiful club to you. Nothing else matters.Only reason the Mazel was purchased was the loft. "The beauty of which you speak can change from stroke to stroke and hole to hole" was once stated by an avowed polygamist ... golfer.Reality is, if it works for you, it's a beautiful club to you. Nothing else matters.
Heard a rumor they may start making clubs under the Adams name again. Last I knew, TM held their name and patents.A very clean set of Adams Blue irons. 5-PW, senior graphite, all stock. CHEAP!
I'm not sure this is true. I've had an SMT Avocet in the bag for a long time and it is clearly the ugliest club in golf, but the fugly thing hits it pretty straight.Reality is, if it works for you, it's a beautiful club to you. Nothing else matters.
That would be cool......loved the brand.Heard a rumor they may start making clubs under the Adams name again. Last I knew, TM held their name and patents.
The thing I miss most about Adams were the discounts I received through my employer. They sponsored four players on the Champions Tour with Adams and we received employee pricing on Adams and TM equipment for a couple of years. I was disappointed when that ended. That would be cool......loved the brand.

Still have a hybrid of theirs in my bag, may be the safest club in there.
