I figured it’s worth a shot. I can not possible chip any worse than I have been. I tried Cleveland’s CBX Wedges last year, and they were definitely easier to use compared to normal wedges, but when it came to chipping, I could still chili dip or blade it across the green frequently.

For me, it’s all about the lack of practice time. I do not practice enough to maintain any kind of consistency with Tour style wedges. I am hoping these crutches will allow me to maintain a shred of dignity around the greens given the limited amount of time I spend practicing.

Same with me. I chip in my back yard but it’s not near enough to gain any consistency!

The third and final tool of desperation has arrived. Mazel 55 degree chipper wedge (Square Strike copy cat). Once I regrip all of the new “wedges” they will be taken out into the wild to compete for that coveted spot in my bag.

The Cleveland actually is pretty cool looking, I'd try a few shots with it. The Mazel...well....

Only reason the Mazel was purchased was the loft. The Cleveland should be good with a lot of green to work with, but I wanted to experiment with a more lofted chipper as well when there is not a a lot of room to work with.

Reality is, if it works for you, it's a beautiful club to you. Nothing else matters.

I'm not sure this is true. I've had an SMT Avocet in the bag for a long time and it is clearly the ugliest club in golf, but the fugly thing hits it pretty straight.

The thing I miss most about Adams were the discounts I received through my employer. They sponsored four players on the Champions Tour with Adams and we received employee pricing on Adams and TM equipment for a couple of years. I was disappointed when that ended.

Worked part time for a PIAS in the KC area in the 90's. The owner got "talked into" taking on some fairway woods from a new manufacturer. Adams TiteLies. I don't think he brought in more than a half-dozen or so. The moved slowly out the door. All of a sudden, he could not keep them in stock. Guys started coming in and asking for them specifically. The store owner made a bundle off some really large orders until the "regular" golf shops in town joined in on enjoying the new "phenomena".

Ordered a new 7 wood today. First new club in 10 years. Got a call a few hours later that Ping told them they are sold out of 7 woods and aren't taking any more orders for them.
Pretty wild. The fitter is going to try to talk to the ping rep and try to piece one together for me.
