Many years ago I had a McGregor Nicklaus forged muscle back 2-iron. I could hit that a mile.
I am going to play again.
My father in law took me a few times to the Masters and he loved golf.
In 2009, he bought tickets just for him and me.
I had a putting mat for indoors, but I wanted to practice chipping. I thought a small rug from a discount store would work but I didn’t have enough leeway on such a narrow 10x3 foot green. So, I bought a 10 x 5 foot one.
I also just traded in some old clubs for newer used clubs today.
But I still love my Bullseye putter despite having a collection of different putters.I love the bullseye because I have great feel with it.
My concurrent hobby is shooting in my backyard range.

How did you get along with these? I was debating building a set and was wondering about the quality and characteristics of the Acer XV Pro’s.....new ones on the bench drying - 5 tru GW plus XB Satin 54* and 58* FST 90 steel, Senior flex with Pro Soft dampeners. It's a players cavity back with a small-ish sized head, low offset and a nice topline. The bounce is perfect for my swing - been playing well with them in Geezer flex steel.

Nice Ruger. I had a Mark III Target 6" Stainless Bull many years ago. Swapped the grips for Ruger wooden ones. That was a sweet little pistol.I wish.

They made leaps and bounds with the Mark IV in regards to field stripping over the III. Anyone with a III should throw it in the river and get a IV immediately. Ruger did a hell of a job with that version. It's on my list of next weapons to buy.

Why I do my own equipment work: shortened and regripped the M1 and M3 drivers today, who ever put the grip on the M1 left the factory tape under their double sided tape. Granted, factory tape is quite thin, but it leads you to wonder what other short cuts did they take when working on the club.

I do all my own work now too. I've taken off grips and found "pieces" of two sided tape instead of a full wrap. Good grief.

Well, another dark side purchase. 
I have been looking a clean set of TM RSi irons to match my set down in Florida and the price for clean sets is still running a bit high for used clubs. Started looking around for a good deal on M3 irons as they are a few generations newer and still available new on closeout. Stumbled upon a set of PSi irons NIB at Rock Bottom Golf for $53 a club 4-GW with KBS Tour Stiff shafts. Trigger pulled.
The PSi are the next generation of RSi and perform nearly identical on the course. In what may be the only time in the history of TM, they actually added .5 degrees of loft in the next gen irons. Not sure how the KBS Tours will play, but if I do not like them, I can reshaft and still come out well ahead on what they are charging for M5’s. The only other thing I may have to do is bend them up a degree in lie (have the equipment to do it in house) once I run them over the lie board a few time to see if they require it.
I was quite happy with the find and glad I did not hesitate as it was the last set they had in stock.

I had never played KBS shafts until picking up this set of iBlades almost a year ago. They have been the best feeling, most consistent steel golf shaft I have ever used. They are the Tour 120 (S). Figured I could never hit them at my age. The money I've cleaned out of the geezers pockets just this week is a testament to how they seem to have fit me pretty well. Don't rush to judgement. Removing an existing layer of tape is not necessarily a shortcut. A lot of guys want an extra layer of tape for buildup and this saves time and expense. I usually leave original layer on.
