    I've done a bit of research on these. It's a UK company who sell most of their stuff to Japan and South Korea. Here's the blah blah blah.

    United Golf Clubs were developed by the same company that brought Vega to the UK. Their aim was to create a modern UK golf brand using the best possible materials and manufacturing processes. Forged from a single block of super soft carbon steel the PC-01 gives an incredible feel. The clean looks from address with the thin top line make this a great cavity back iron for the better player. The extra heel and toe weighting also makes them extremely forgiving on off centre hits. The extra weight in the top of the blade, created by the cut through cavity, ensures a strong, powerful flight and enhances feel and performance.

    I'm excited to try the new shafts, getting old means I need more speed, first time trying graphite shafts in irons. These things look shiny too. I get them at the weekend. Review to follow.

    Just got this today. A Graphite Design YS SIX nano reloaded shaft. And here is what the postal service did to it. It was NOT accidental. They drove over the "tube" lengthwise. Then bent the tube. The shaft was totally destroyed.

    Nest Thermostat.

    Woke up early yesterday morning to a very cold room. 58 deg F in a Texas summer is downright frigid. It was relatively cold outside (64 deg F) so I chalked it up to that. By afternoon, the main room was running mid to low 60’s (outside temp 93 F) and the thermostat indicating it was off. The compressor running outside told a different story. Sucker would not stay shut off and the waiting cycle was not being enforced after returning power to the unit. Changed thermostats heads with one of our other units and it worked perfectly. As it it was a Lennox thermostat, the only way to procure one locally required me to be a licensed contractor and online stores could not get it here until Monday at the absolute earliest.

    Screw that. Bought a Nest Thermostat at Lowe’s for less than it would cost me to replace and ship the Lennox unit and has it more features including Wi-Fi capability.

    Installation was a piece of cake, took about 15 minutes, and now the house is back to normal. Will be replacing the other two Lennox units with the Nest after a few weeks of seeing how the Nest works out. It took longer to watch YouTube videos on how to replace the thermostat than it did to replace it.

    We installed one of these 2 years ago, it’s pretty sweet!

    Nice job. I thought all you knew how to do was pull for the wrong sports teams!

    Post how this goes. I've seen these in houses I've shown, it seems to be a great product.

    Going good so far. Seems to maintain temperature a bit better than the old unit, not that there were huge temperature swings (other than the other night)with the old unit, but there were times where you could feel that it needs to kick on soon as it was warming up/cooling down. With the old unit I found myself looking at it more often to see what the temperature was as it felt cooler/warmer than the setting. Other than watching the app to see how it’s all working/learning (new toy syndrome), I have not felt the need to double check the temperature setting on the Nest.
