well went out and played 27 on friday at Charwood Country Club.
hadn't played it since last summer. they have three different nines.
for our 18 we played the white and blue. they play to a par 71, 5599 yards, 112 slope and 66.3 rating.
the white is par 35 and only 2674 yards, but is the most difficult of the three as it winds around the houses and such. very tight holes with ob left and right on a few. anyway out in 42.
the blue is par 36 that plays 2925 and is more wide open. came back in with a 40. all total....an 82 with 11/14 fairways, only 5 GIR and 31 putts. still would like to get the putts down a little and of course work on hitting greens. the problem was hitting driver off the tee and leaving 65-75 yards on some holes and just not hitting good wedge shots. a part of the game I have been working on.
we had some time and decided to play the red course....it plays par 37 at 3119 yards.....played this nine in even par 37.....it is fairly wide open and you can let it fly. made two birdies and two bogies. 5/7 fairways, 4 GIR and 16 putts.
short game is getting right.....just need to hit some better iron shots
