you got it wrong.

Both balls at one marker. Hit the far marker, then the one by where you started, then your opponent's ball. First to hit wins, but if you hit the other dude's ball before you hit both markers you win.

P.S. you gotta use the club you are gonna tee off with.

I've never seen it played that way before. I forgot to add, that after you hit the opponents marker, you can hit his ball to win instead of the other marker. But if you hit his ball before you hit his marker, you lose.
