Hi everybody

Just a quick hello to you all. I am really new to the game of golf, having just taken it up at the age of 51! Played a fair bit of sport previously and so don't seem to be doing too bad after just 3 lessons?

Hope to pick up gems of wisdom from the forum. Who knows I may even be able to contibute soon?

I've set myself a target of getting down to a single digit handicap within a couple of years. What's my chances?

Welcome to the forum. As for your hopes of a single figure handicap its possible it just depends on how far and consistent you hit the ball.

Welcome, I think if you have decent hand eye coordination single digits are obtainable fairly easily.

Welcome. I too am fairly new to the forum. Never pass up an opportunity to practice and don't get discouraged. Just when you think you can't play any worse things will start to get better.
