Alright, this is a very interesting putter indeed, and has been debated about religiously for awhile it seems on both The cameron collector and Puttertalk.

Absolutely beautiful putter, too bad I dont have the change for it...:(

I still haven't figured out from reading all this what the bad blood between SC and BB is aboot though... If someone gets it lmk!

Lol,all the worst in golf forums on display. Its truly amazing the value of trinkets now and the Scotty owners should really take a step back from the keyboard and have a word with themselves.
Its a lump of steel ffs, some of these people cherish their putters more than their wives, sad, sad people.

The whole sorry immature scrap must make a like Doug, who I don't know, but he seems a genuine sort of guy, feel like the whole forum thing is just not worth it,having your integrity questioned by people who just 'collect' putters.

"I know he was only 2 at the time, but i am convined Scotty killed Kennedy"

That made me laugh though.

The Scotty brand now seems to turn some people into stark raving loonatics, unable to use rational though, simple reasoning or just read properly. They really do need to calm down a tad.

That is a good looking Newport but the amount of chatter that is being thrown around on those two sites is incredible!

That Scotty looks sick.

Call mes unedukatted folk, but what's so special about it?

I think I kind of get it now, reading more.

This thing is not utility, it's a collector's item.

exactly.. this putter is one of a kind, nobody has ever seen this kind of milling on a Scotty before...

Here's the readers digest condensed version.

Bob Bettinardi milled Cameron putters until about 1998.

Bettinardi will definately not be invited over to Scotty's house for Thanksgiving Dinner.

Scotty claims to have never seen that putter, and would not authenticate it as a Cameron putter.

This apparently is the real deal and is not an aftermarket hack job. Bettinardi's honeycomb milling is on the face, and Scotty Cameron was engraved after the face was milled.

About 4 of those puppies are known to exist (different models), they were apparently prototypes for Bettinardi's milling pattern.

I think it's a really cool putter. I'd love to see it, or one of it's brothers.

As is said a lot in those threads, I would absolutely love to stroke that thing, and the napa version of it:).

Be pretty cool to have it.

Imagine buying one at a yard sale by someone who didn't know better, that'd be so cool.
