How cold is too cold to play?

Looks like I'll find out tommorow if the 40s are too cold. A couple of the guys in my group can't play Sunday, when it's suppose to reach 60*, so we're going out Saturday.

I'll be walking so maybe that will help.

Well I am committed this Sunday! I haven't golfed in a couple months so I need to get a round in before it becomes too frigid.

Highs of 6 or 7 degree C. are the norm' here in Northern Ireland during December. That would be equivilent to not much over 40 Farenheit. However, the windchill factor makes it colder than that. 20 or 30 mph winds cut through you like a ribbon, but many still play, particuarly at the weekend as they don't get a chance to play during the week and have to play in various matches.

the coldest i ever palyed was in a PJGT tournament in Kentucky, high was 32, wind chill was around 10 when i teed off. Shot 73 the day before 50 and sunny. The sunday round in the cold was one of my best 78's ive ever shot.

50s I can deal with. Add rain and wind, I'd prefer to be at a heated range.
