Can hybrid shafts be fitted into fairway wood heads? My club fitter is suggesting I get a UST IROD Hybrid fitted into my fairway wood. I am looking for a shaft to replace my :smilie_fu Tour Platform 26.3 on a bore through head. Is it just the name with IROD having "Hybrid" written on the shaft or is my club fitter just trying to push me with his products? Thanks.

UST makes an IROD .335 fairway wood. WHy not just use that? I'm pretty sure that's what he's speaking of, as you couldn't fit a .370 shaft into a .350 head.
