As I said, are you out to score or hit your driver?
Do you want to learn to hit every club in your bag, or at least try? Further, do you not want to give up on a club? Hit the driver.
For those who haven't broken 90, and you've a reliable 3 wood -at least moreso than your driver- then use that instead, play it safe, and your score should logically go down.
