Pinehurst Number 2

I am going on a 5 day, 7 round Pinehurst trip with 12 golf buddies. Trip date is 5/28-6/1. We will play 7,6,5,4,1,4 and 2 on Sunday. That #2 course scares me to death! If you check out the website virtual tour, it is quite intimidating. Luxury Golf Resorts | Pinehurst - Golf | North Carolina Golf Courses The fairways look as wide as a bowling alley, the greens are all raised and rounded, and even at 6700 yds. it is long enough. Any suggestions for me to overcome my fear (and loathing)? At least the Sunday 18th hole position will be the same as it was when Payne Stewart hit his memorable putt to win. Looking for inspiration.

WOW, Coach have a great time! Look at it this way when you look down a fairway at your home course/club do you not try to hit the center of the fairway, well its the same position you will strive for at Pinehurst the center is the center. Just remember HAVE FUN this is whats its all about. (NO #8?)

I am learning more and more that if I focus on having fun and being a fun playing partner, the golf takes care of itself. Go have a great time and be a person that other people enjoy having around them and you will play some spectacular golf.
