Do you guys change your swing to hit a draw compared to a fade or just change the position of the ball in your stance, i am working on getting a consitent fade and draw with my driver but the only way i can do it is to change my swing plane

I make no concious effort to change my swing plane. For a fade I'll align 5-10 yards left and swing along my feet, just like a normal swing, but really feel like im holding off the release. For a draw, I align parallell to the target, and let my natural inside-out swing produce the draw by releasing naturally.

I take the club straight back and straight through my target line regardless of the shot shape. To fade the ball I align my feet and shoulders slighty left of the target line, to draw it, slighty right. Either way I want the clubface square to the target at impact.

I don't do it much with the driver but to hit a big draw or fade I'll also open the face, weaken grip for the fade or shut it for a draw with the irons. Again, I still go straight back and through my target line. IMO you have to be careful of thinking about changing the swing plane. If you start taking the club back inside it's asking to get stuck and end up with no where to go but dead pull or slice.
