I played 36 today and I'm sunburned, drunk and exhausted.

I enjoyed watching The Travelers yesterday. I know that Mahan and Williamson are unknowns, but it was dramatic all the same....Mahan had a string of birdies as he opened the backside to get to a two stroke lead...then he faltered down the stretch and Williamson came on.

Williamson - what a Cinderella story. 40 year old journeyman who has never finished higher than 3rd in a PGATour event. Married with small child and lost his Tour card so he has to play on the Nationwide Tour. Total earnings so far this year - $150K. Can't even eat for that with paying a caddie and the travel costs...he gets a Sponsor's Exemption to enter and almost wins....

I was rooting hard for him. He needed the $$ much more than Mahan, a single 25 yo guy.

Still, Williamson won $640,000 so that ain't bad.

The playoff was dramatic and Mahan deserved to win. Tons of fun to watch.
