Santa brought me a load of store credit so I combined that and sold a few of my PING sets and got these babies. Giant Shovels - Taylormade MGCB 5-SW with Recoil graphites. :) They were my local shop's demo clubs and were only used twice.

Santa brought me the same sticks but 4-AW with KBS TGI shafts. Also Hi Toe wedges in 56 and 60, also with KBS TGI shafts.

    Santa is a cool dude!

When did the G700 irons lose out to the Mizzys? And, why Taylor Mades over Ping or Mizzy? You change clubs faster than my feeble mind can keep up!!

G700’s lost when they marred up just sitting in my bag. Ping acknowledged that the hydropearl finish was garbage but wouldn’t do anything to fix current clubs. Oh well.

Mizzy’s never left the stable when I got the Ping’s. So they went back in the bag.

Hit the Taylormade’s at Golf Galaxy a few weeks back and my numbers were silly. Too silly to pass up, so Santa brought them to middle TN.

Last sentence is 100% accurate, lol.

Bought a Yes! Carolyne off the bay. Going to reshaft and add a Super Stroke grip to it so that I can send it down to Florida for my annual only week of golf. Still have the one I ordered at the PGA Merch Show 10 plus years ago, when I fell in love with it, but found a decent example on the bay. Kind of sad they closed shop, they put out some decent putters for a while.

Not today, but in the last few months I/we've bought 2 cars: my daughter's 4Runner (I cosigned) about a month ago and my wife's Terrain Denali a week ago.

Add my truck purchase back in June, a new set of tires for the CR-V that's being handed down to replace my younger stepson's Explorer (being sold), and selling my old Trailblazer and my daughter's Grand Cherokee...I'm damn tired of dealing with vehicles.

What? Not a Stihl or Husqvarna? What size bar? (Nice saw).

I know...I really wanted the Stihl 201T...which is essentially the same saw, almost identical weight and power numbers. That saw is $650 new, and the best I found used, was a real beat up one for $450. This was $350 shipped to my door brand spanking new. I just couldn't justify double the price for the same power/weight.

If I end up turning this hobby into a weekend business...I might go and get a Stihl 201T. Till then, this should last me a very long time. I'm still watching craigslist just in case a nice one for a decent price shows up.

I've only run 1 tank of gas through it so far, but it revs fast, has solid power, and handles well. Can't wait to climb with it.

    Ummm...no.

You just reminded me of the days when we had both girls driving... and needing vehicles... along with the wife and I. Challenging times. Money... Insurance... Safety... Now have two grandkids who are driving and a couple more close to old enough.

I see some nice Cub Cadet snow blowers in the background of that pic. Just like mine.
